1. Diabetes in America By Jibrail Cheema 6D

2. This graph was an assignment in Math and English and my job was to persuade the United Nations to give financial aid to for one disease in a country of my choice. The country I choose was America and the disease I choose was Diabetes.

3. What is Diabetes? Diabetes is the disease of when a person has high blood sugar and stops producing Insulin. Insulin helps maintain the blood sugar levels in the body. This can be cause by excessive amounts of sugar or genetically from elder generations. It can be cured by Insulin shots which add Insulin to the body.

4. First I will show you a the amount of Diabetes in each country that I picked. The amount of people in America with Diabetes is 25.8 million people approx. The amount of population that have diabetes in Mexico is 6.1 million people. The amount in Brazil is 4.6 million and in Canada is 3.9 million.

5. Here is the graph to show the difference between the countries. The amounts are in millions. As you can see that America is much higher than the other countries.

6. The comparison between America, the country with the highest amount of diabetes, and Mexico, the country with the second highest amount of diabetes that I researched, is that America has approximately. 400% more diabetics than Mexico. The country that has the least amount of diabetes, that I researched, is Canada with only 3.9 million people with diabetes which approximately 600% less diabetics than America.

7. Conclusion This is why America needs more financial aid than other countries because it has on of highest amount of people with Diabetes and need the money to get more Insulin to cure the disease. This is why America need more money than the other countries.
