3 Video Production for Education & Training Description the fundamentals of pre-production, production and post-production of video for education and training, focusing on stand-alone video and video embedded in multimedia and web-based delivery. This course will include lab work in the following areas: scripting, video camera operation, VCR's, monitors, video editing, graphics, animation, sound, microphone and mixers, and lighting.

4 Video Production for Education & Training Purpose help students, in-service educators, and in-service trainers develop fundamental skills in the pre-production, production and post-production of video for education and training purposes design and produce high quality video products that give new knowledge/skills/abilities.

5 Video Production for Education & Training Objectives Analyze video production process and use media project planning techniques. Design video products for performance outcomes. Develop proficiency in video production equipment. Develop a proficiency in non-linear editing equipment. Critique contemporary research on video and audio use in education and training.

6 Video Production for Education & Training Requirements Complete mid-term exam Conduct two critiques of research: a. audio use, b. video Create audio script for 6-minute edu/training audiotape. Produce a 6-minute educational/training audiocassette. Create 3 video script/storyboards for educ/training videos, 30 secs each. Produce 3 educ/training QuickTime or Windows Media videos. Create a video script/storyboard for 8-min educ/training video. Produce an educational/training video of 8 minute length.

15 Video Production for Education & Training Student Materials All students will need to supply the following materials: 1-audio cassette 1- CD or DVD 1- VHS cassette (wait for instructions) Also, if you or an acquaintance has a video camcorder, this may make things easier

20 Video Production F Video –The technology for the electronic capture, storage, transmission and reproduction of images and motion pictures –The signals generated by video technology –A signal which contains visual information, such as a picture in a television system. –adj. Of or pertaining to the visual component of a television signal. In relation to computers, video refers to the rendering of text and graphics images on displays. –The medium of delivering information created from the recording of real events to be processed simultaneously by a learner's eyes and ears.
