8 Transfers & Transport North Wales Network - All Wales Guidelines Drafts have been widely circulated SEWCCN Small Task & Finish group Audited equipment and transfers Wider group now required with all units and stakeholders to:- Plan and organise transfer system in the region Review audit of transfers Transfer training Nursing Reps already nominated. Medical Reps required from Gwent & Cwm Taf

9 Outreach Senior Nurse forum developed the core principles of an Outreach Service Service model and specification NHS Trusts – service development/business cases SEWCCN Task & Finish group Reps required – Medical & Nursing. 2 Physio reps already nominated

10 Flu pandemic planning a priority Regional approach required and common use of ICU beds National guidance available North Wales Network already developing guidance and plans SEWCCN Working Group Emergency Planning & Flu Pandemic

15 Patient & Public Involvement All Wales Critical Care Advisory group recommendations: Each unit must have a strategy/plan for the involvement of patients & carers Non prescriptive but action appropriate to local issues Plans to be submitted to Network & 6 monthly progress reports All Wales PPI questionnaire to support consistency

16 How can you become involved? Service Improvement group consists of 12 people Knowledgeable and experienced staff within the service Working groups Balance of professions and across region Work acknowledged within the Network Process – to Service Improvement Group and endorsed by Network Board Agree with each group a “leader”
