3. Space has many forms of matter in it other than planets. It has pieces of flying rock called meteorites. There are also comets and stars. Let me tell you all about these mysterious objects.

4. Comets are the oldest known objects of space to ever be recorded. They have been called dirty snowballs because of their contents. They are a mixture of ices, water, frozen gasses, and dust. They have a tail that streaks across the sky with them that helps us distinguish them.

5. Stars, like the sun, are big balls of gas and fire. Their color is determined by their temperature. Blue stars are the hottest, while red stars are the coolest. When stars die, they explode into a super nova or just cool down to form a Black Dwarf.

6. Meteorites are sometimes called shooting stars for the fact that they shoot out of the sky. They are made of bits of the solar system that have fallen into Earths atmosphere. Meteorites are most of the time very small when they make it down to Earth.. Ninety-five percent are made out of stone.

7. As you can see, space is very vast and has many components. There is much more, but that is for you to find on your own space adventure.
