2 introduction The southern royal albatross belongs to the diomedeidae family. The Maori name is Toroa.

3 description The royal albatross is 115 to 123 cm in length and 8.5 in weight. The albatross is white on its head, neck and on the under parts. The top of the wings are black to blend in with the sea and the bottom of the wings are white to blend on with the sky. the adult royal albatross has a pink bill and the child has a grey bill. Also the southern royal albatross has a 3metre wing span.

4 Special features The southern royal albatross mate for there life. also the royal albatross is the largest seabird. The adult albatross regurgitate there food into there chick mouth to feed and that is how they get there pink bill.

5 habitat The royal albatross like to live at Tairoa head and campbell island with grass, wind and a flat run way to land on,they like to live on other islands too.

6 diet The southern royal albatross like to eat squid and fish they have to get lots of it because they have to feed there babies as well as there them.

7 conclusion A plus about the southern royal albatross is they mate for life and a minus is they are endangered. They don’t eat a big variety of food.
