4 1 Thessalonians Written about 50 A.D. One of the earliest letters giving us an insight into the very early Church. Paul’s stay in Thessalonica cut short by his persecutors.

5 Problems included remaining being faithful to his teaching; excessive anticipation of the Parousia.

6 Ch 1, 2Greeting, prayer, recalling his ministry and demeanor among them; accolades for them. Ch 3Timothy sends good news about their faith and love. Ch 4:3-12Holiness, mutual charity Ch 4:13-18The Thessalonians concern for their deceased loved ones. The “Rapture” (also ref Mt 24:36-44).
