3. 2 What is IPC? A non-profit organization of worldwide specialty dermatologists dedicated to advancing psoriasis research and treatment by providing a forum for education, collaboration, and innovation among physicians, researchers, and others interested in psoriasis.

5. 4 What are IPC’s goals and objectives? Raise the international consciousness and understanding of psoriasis as a serious autoimmune disease with major quality of life implications; Promote scientific discovery and treatment innovations; Advocate for better access, by both patients and physicians, to the safest, most effective, and preferred methods of managing psoriasis; Convene worldwide experts to leverage individual discoveries and observations for the benefit of psoriasis research and treatment;

6. 5 IPC’s goals and objectives Empower dermatologists to better diagnose and treat patients with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis; Partner with all key stakeholders – patients, patient advocacy groups, physicians, nurses, researchers, policy makers, providers, and members of industry – to advance mutually beneficial goals; and Serve as the leading international resource for all those seeking impartial, objective, up-to-date, authoritative information on psoriasis.

7. 6 What does IPC have planned for 2005? The board will be meeting Saturday, November 20 th, to approve the following programs for this year I.IPC Psoriasis Patient Registry A comprehensive database of up to 1,200 patients from 3-6 international sites using an IRB-approved protocol to gather valuable, long-term data on psoriasis patients. Data will be made available to study participants and others as approved by an IPC committee.

8. 7 What does IPC have planned for 2005? II.1 st Annual IPC Educational Symposium: Dermatology Clinical Trials A two-day program to inform and educate dermatologists, dermatology research nurses and staff on all aspects of clinical trials in North America, with a focus on psoriasis. The topic will change from year to year and will rotate international locations. III.IPC Hot Topics Roundtable – Psoriasis Phenotyping A one-day facilitated discussion of various aspects of psoriasis phenotypes among twelve leading international psoriasis clinicians.

9. 8 What does IPC have planned for 2005? IV.IPC Semi-Annual Psoriasis Research Review A short publication in which IPC will carefully analyze and comment on emerging psoriasis research and identify the top ten most important discoveries of the past six months V.1 st Annual IPC Resident Education Symposium: Administering Biologics for Psoriasis A two-day program to educate international dermatology residents/registrars, junior faculty, and fellows about the latest innovations and clinical implications of biologic therapies Will include an educational seminar and a research competition The site and topic of focus will change from year to year
