EDC Nominations and Election Committee I am Alice Cassidy, the EDC- appointed representative Thanks for asking me back!

3 positions available: VC, Communications VC, Conferences Secretary (Erika Kustra will let her name stand for another 2-year term) You can read the job overviews at http://www.stlhe.ca/constituencies/educational- developers-caucus/executive/ http://www.stlhe.ca/constituencies/educational- developers-caucus/executive/

The job right now is to seek two people to join me This is not a call for the executive positions themselves, but for the Nominations and Election Committee

Once in place, we will meet by phone or web to do the following: Decide which of us will act as the Chair of the Nominations and Election Committee Ask for (self)-nominations then present a slate of names to EDC members Arrange some technical details related to promoting the candidates; the electronic vote is arranged by Sylvia Avery, STLHE administrator Great way to get involved with EDC committee without heavy time commitment

It’s your turn! I ask for two nominations from ‘the floor’ (includes those who contacted Deb by email)

Note: If we get more than two people nominated, we ask them to leave the room and have a vote, though this has not normally been needed. We just stop at two!

Others from the room? You might want to ensure that someone you are nominating is willing to be on the committee first! And, they don’t want to consider running for one of the executive positions Once nominated, we will ask for another person to second it, then accept
