4. How do I use comma quote? 1. Cite specific words and phrases from the text. Example: Question: Using evidence from the text, give an example which shows that Alfonso is concerned about his appearance.

5. Example: Alfonso is concerned about his appearance. An example of this can be found on page 30, paragraph 5, when the author states, “He spend hours in front of the mirror trying to herd his teeth into place with his thumb.”
