2 Congratulations Class of 2014: 100% of 8 th graders accepted at their top choice of Catholic High School!

3 Goals in 2013/14:  Expanded P.E. and Health Class  Improve Spanish  Learning Support  Enrichment  Build a gym

4 Additional Accomplishments:  PowerSchool  Emergency Alert System  Security Upgrades  Student Council  Marketing  Grant Writing

5 Spanish:  More substantial changes for 2014/15  New Spanish teacher will: Refine PK-5 th Implement 6 th – 8 th  Goal: Graduates will begin to test out of Freshman Spanish.

6 Mathematics:  2014/15 Mathematics: 5 th – 8 th Math class split Mrs. Hickey with half, Homeroom teacher with the other half  Experimenting this year and last Short term data is positive

7 Textbook Adoption:  Writing Program is the first new textbooks adoption, with more to come on an annual basis  New Program Alignment Continuity Consistency

8 New Teacher Salary Scale:  Current Salary Scale Seniority and Education Ties us to Seattle Public  New Scale Transitioning into a “Banded System” Meet or exceed Seattle Public Recognize and Reward our dedicated staff

9 Joint Building Committee:

10 Improvements in 2014/15 and beyond:  Review and Revise All Curricular Areas

11 Improvements in 2014/15 and beyond  Fund-A-Dream: Laptop Wireless Staff Tablets  Dream come true? eTextbooks

12 2014/15 Budget Year-  Challenges: Enrollment changes in 2013/14 Loss of Parish subsidy income Increases to Salary and Benefits

13 2014-2015 promises to be extraordinary…

14 Why are tuition is lower than our peer schools:  Parish subsidy is going to return (and grow in coming years)  Generous donors  Successful fundraisers  Successful grant writing

15 Why are tuition is lower than our peer schools:  Investing in next year and the future… Investing in Programs Investing in our Students Investing in Families

16 Our Goal: No one leaves because families are unable to pay for tuition!

17 Tuition and Fees:  Actual Cost to Educate: $8,240  Tuition: In-Parish (first child)$5,640 In-Parish (additional)$3,950 Out of Parish$7,470 PS/PK: $5,640 (5 days a week)
