Eligible Candidates  High achieving newly admitted freshmen  Students graduating from Illinois schools  Historically underrepresented groups  Students from low-sending IL counties (2 or less per year in the past five years)  Dependent students whose expected family contribution (EFC) is zero (0) Requirements for Consideration  Cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher  ACT 25 or higher and Top 25thth percentile ranking (HSPR 75 or higher)  Fall admittance to UIC  Upon enrollment, participation in mandatory program’s activities Deadline  Admissions Application: Priority Deadline November 30

3 ChooseYourFuture.org LARES Tuition Award Award Amount: Full or partial tuition waivers (pending available funds) Eligible Candidates  Full-time undergraduate UIC students  Members of Latin American Recruitment and Educational Services (LARES)  Priority given to students not receiving significant funds from state grants like MAP, IVG, Illinois General Assembly, etc. that cover tuition costs  Priority given to students who have not received the LARES tuition award before  Holders of F-1 student visa NOT eligible Requirements for Consideration  Good academic standing, with recommended cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher  24 credits earned (12 earned at UIC for transfer students)  Application, letter of recommendation, personal statement, and proof of income  Awardees must volunteer 15 hours with LARES during award term Deadline Application: September of Fall Term

14 Golden Apple Scholars Award Amount: $23,000 scholarship package. $2,500 freshman and sophomore year. $5,000 junior and senior year. $2,000 annual stipend. Summer professional development that provides 3 times more classroom and field experience before beginning student teaching! Eligible Candidates  Students from Illinois interested in teaching  Acceptance at 1of 53 Illinois four-year college or university, or Posse partner schools  HS graduate, sophomore at current partner school, community college transfer student Requirements for Considerations and Deadlines  U.S. citizen or permanent resident  Nomination from a teacher, counselor, or self-nomination by November 1  Complete application with 7 essays. Submit transcripts and ACT scores by December 1  Attend scheduled interview between December 2 and January 31  Complete program in full-compliance and earn teacher certification*  Agree to teach in an Illinois school of need for five years* Nominations close on November 1, 2013. 15 Wentcher Foundation Scholarship Award Amount: $30,000. $7,500 per year over 4 years Eligible Candidates  Chicago Public Schools graduating senior  Students demonstrating financial need, talent, and character. Requirements for Consideration  U.S. citizenship or permanent resident  Weighted GPA of 3.0 and an ACT 20 or higher  CPS transcript and ACT/SAT scores (unofficial transcripts are accepted)  Completed Wentcher Scholarship Application  2 Letters of Recommendation from individuals outside applicant’s family attesting to suitability to be a Wentcher Scholar. Suggested reference letters come from a teacher, counselor, or college and career coach.  Essay describing “Why I Should Receive a Wentcher Scholarship”  Student Aid Report (SAR)* Deadline March 1

16 Mayoral Award of Student Achievement Award Amount: $1,000 one-time award plus summer internship Eligible Candidates  Chicago Public Schools graduating senior (1 winner per high school)  Students with academic excellence and exceptional accomplishments.  Priority given to students interested in business or business related major  Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) students are eligible Requirements for Consideration  U.S. citizenship or permanent resident*  Minimum GPA of 3.0 and 90% attendance rate or higher  Complete CME application packet  Submit transcripts, test scores, all forms, and W-9 from student  Write an essay on the futures industry Deadline February 14

Eligible Candidates  Chicago Public Schools graduating senior  Students attending attend one of the 38 UNCF member colleges or universities  Priority given to students interested in business or business related major Requirements for Consideration  U.S. citizenship or permanent resident  Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher  Letters of recommendation and official transcript  Resume  Must participate in an interview if selected as a finalist  Letter of acceptance to UNCF College (at time of interview if selected as a finalist) Deadline March 28

18 ChooseYourFuture.org CPS Dream Fund Scholarship Award Amount: Varies Eligible Candidates  Undocumented graduating senior  Chicago Public Schools students  Students with demonstrate academic excellence, talent, and financial need Requirements for Consideration and Deadline  Must be a DREAMer  Minimum GPA of 3.0 and ACT score of 17 or higher  Attend a Chicago public high school for at least three (3) years  Application; Official transcript; ACT scores; Two essays; Proof of household income; Letter of recommendation from a current teacher; Community service or volunteer service letter of recommendation; College acceptance and financial aid award letters June 1  Each high school must forward 2 finalists applications to the CPS Scholarship Manager by the deadline June 1
