4 Volume Key This key adjusts the volume of Ringer, Speaker and Handset –Use Up and Down arrows of the volume key to reach desired volume level –Press Settings Hard Key –Press Save Soft Key By performing this function, volume default level will be replaced

5 Scroll Key Key with white, up and down arrows in center of phone This key provides up and down scrolling while in the directories and settings functions

6 “? key” Key in center of four key (messages, directories, services, & settings) grouping Allows help information access during phone use –Press “?” key and any other phone key –A brief description of the phone key function will appear in the LCD display

7 Settings Key This button allows you to adjust the settings of your phone –Contrast – Use down and up soft keys to adjust setting –Press OK – Press Save –Ringer Type – Use Scroll key to move up & down thru Menu –Press Play to hear ring type –Press Select to choose ring type –Press OK –Press Save

8 Directories Key Allows access to Missed Calls, Received Calls, and Placed Calls –LCD Soft Key Selections: Dial, Edit Dial, >>, <<, Delete, and Cancel Allows access to the School Directory –Press 4 –Type in person’s name or extension It is not necessary to spell the entire name –Press Search

9 Call Forwarding Call Forward to Voicemail (Listen for 2 beeps and look for blinking cursor in LCD display) –Press CFwdAll soft key then the messages hard key –To cancel, Press the CFwdAll key again Call Forward to other locations –Press the CFwdAll soft key. You will hear two beeps. –Enter the number you want your calls to forward to. You will hear two more beeps. –If forwarding to an outside number, make sure to press 9 first, then the 7-10 digit number. –To cancel, Press the CFwdAll key again.

10 Placing a Call on Hold During a call, press the Hold soft key. To retrieve the call press the Resume soft key

11 Parking a Call During a call, press the More soft key, then press the Park key A five digit number (89800-89899) will appear in the LCD display To retrieve a parked call from anywhere in the Call Manager System, dial the Call Park Number

12 Transferring a Call During a call, press the Trnsfer soft key. (this places the call temporarily on hold) Dial the number to which you want to transfer the call Press Trnsfer again or for an announced transfer wait for the party to answer and then Press Trnsfer. On an announced transfer, if the party refuses the call, press the Resume soft key to retrieve the call. To bypass ring and transfer straight to voicemail –Press Trnsfer –* then 5 digit extension number –Press Trnsfer again

13 Conference Call During a call, press the More soft key and then the Confrn soft key. Dial the number of whom you wish to conference When the party answers, press Confrn again The Trnsfer function can also be used to transfer the conference call to a new caller. Conference feature allows up to four users.

14 Voicemail Mailbox Setup Press the messages key on the right side of your telephone. When the auto attendant answers, she will prompt you to enter a password. Press 12345# You will then be prompted to set up your mailbox. –It is important to follow prompts from start to finish During this process, you will be prompted for the following information –Record your name –Record standard greeting –Select new password –Add yourself to the directory

15 Logging into Voicemail (Unity) To access voicemail from an internal phone –Press messages button When Auto Attendant begins –Enter password # To access voicemail from external number –Dial Main Number When Auto Attendant begins –Press * 5-digit extension number followed by # –Enter password #

16 Checking New/Old Messages Log into voicemail (Messages button) Press 1 to hear New messages Press 3 to hear Old messages Follow prompts following message to determine next step for reviewed message. (Save / Delete)

17 Sending a Message As a Unity Subscriber, this function enables you to leave another Unity Subscriber or Group (ie. Athletic Dept.) a message without having to dial their extension. By following prompts, you will be able to customize message before sending.

18 Setup Options Under setup options, you are able to perform the following functions. –Switch between Standard and Alternate Greeting. The system will then prompt you to listen to greeting and change if necessary –Change message settings –Change personal settings Recorded name Password Directory listing status

19 Unity Standard Keys The following keys are standard in Unity –0 = Conversation Help –* = Exit or Cancel –# = Skip or Move Ahead –## = Toggle between spelling name and dialing extension
