ACA International Taking Action – Debt Collector Registry and Dispute Resolution Program ACA Board of Directors approved ACA moving forward with the creation of a self-sustaining Debt Collector Registry and National Debt Collection Dispute Resolution Program Executive Committee is required to report implementation progress quarterly to Board of Directors Executive Committee will present recommended policies and procedures, organizational structure, budget, rules and regulations to the Board for discussion and review

ACA International Taking Action – Debt Collector Registry and Dispute Resolution Program Debt Collector Registry –Requires all individuals and companies defined as a debt collector under FDCPA or state la to register as a debt collector –Pay annual fee that is yet to be determined –Individual would be required to take and pass exam evidencing his/her knowledge of the laws regulating collection industry

ACA International Taking Action – Debt Collector Registry and Dispute Resolution Program National Debt Collection Dispute Resolution Program –Funded by the fees paid to the Debt Collector Registry –Responsible for resolving complaints filed by consumers against collection agencies and individual debt collectors –Intent is for FTC, state AGs, and state regulators to forward complaints they receive –Program would provide mediation and arbitration services

ACA International Campus ACA – Professional Development Units (PDUs) Earn Professional Development Units (PDUs) Earn 3.0 PDUs by attending full-day seminars Earn 1.5 PDUs by attending half-day seminars Campus ACA awards Scholar and Fellow Degrees to individuals who earn a certain number of PDUs over a six-year time period. Scholar Degrees are awarded to individuals who earn 18 PDUs in a consecutive six-year period and Fellow Degrees are awarded to individuals who earn 18 additional PDUs after achieving a Scholar Degree (total of 36 PDUs).
