2 TONIGHT’ S OBJECTIVE is designed to help reduce some of the “nerves and concerns” over the transition process for incoming fourth-grade students and parents. 13 S TUDENTS WILL USE THE SUMMER READING LIST TO CHOOSE 3 BOOKS. T HEY WILL JOURNAL AND LOG IN THEIR READING. U SE THE B IRMINGHAM P UBLIC L IBRARY AS A RESOURCE.

14 S TUDENT ’ S SUMMER EXPECTATIONS Choose only 5 activities throughout the summer. Keep your data and write about your experience in your journal.
