Walkers Information A leader will be at the start of every walk, whatever the weather. We have asked all walk leaders to collect attendance sheets – please help our leaders by filling this in as we need to tell The Lottery how many people walked and how many miles. All walk times are approximate. Walks will start promptly at the time stated. Bring suitable clothing for the weather, including footwear for muddy paths and rough terrain. All the leaders who are taking part in the walking festival are regular walkers. They have volunteered their time to help us out with this festival and help you to enjoy the day. Please make their life as easy as possible by staying behind them, listening to instructions and keeping to the route. Bring sandwiches and water with you. Children are welcome, but under 17’s must be accompanied by an adult Vehicles parked in all car parks are at the owners risk. Whilst we make all our walks as safe and as enjoyable as possible, any event attended is done so at your own risk. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Walking festival partners reserve the right to change or cancel a walk without prior notice. Responsible dog owners are welcome however please check with the walk leader that the route would be suitable. 1 Green = Easy 2 Red = Moderate Key To Walks: Distance2 miles DateSun 16 th Sep Start Time2.00 pm Walk Time1 hr 30 mins LeaderPaul Bennett, The RSPB Tel: 01636 893611 paul.bennett@rspb.org.uk Starting PointWillow Works, Beckingham, DN19 4PY Guided walk of RSPB reserve at Beckingham Marshes. The Trent Vale area follows the course of the River Trent from Farndon near Newark in the south to East and West Stockwith (north of Gainsborough) in the north. The area covers 388 square kilometres in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. Welcome to the Trent Vale Walking Festival. This is the first one (that we know of) to span 3 districts, 2 counties and a river. We are very excited to be able to offer you over 30 individual walks throughout the Trent Vale area. They range from Health walks to Heritage walks to Wildlife Walks to Riverside Walks. This is a great opportunity to see Trent Vale at its best in Autumn, find out more about our fascinating history, learn to ID birds and fungi, make new friends and get a breath of fresh air.
