3  Have played Men's’ USVBA since high school  Coached for 12+ years at all levels  Coached at the Elite Clubs in MN  12s, 13s, 14s,15s, 16s, 17s level  15-1s head, 12s and 15s age Group Director and Skills Coordinator  Will be coaching the 14-1s team at CCV  Coached 5 yrs. at EP High School  While at EP, took 1 st and 2 nd in state consecutively  Now Head VB Coach at Chanhassen

6 Top Tier  Travel (14-1s, 15-1s, 16-1s, 17-1s, and 18s) 2 nd Tier  Local (12s, 13s, 14s) + options 3 rd Tier  League (12s, 13s) + options The number of teams will be determined by number of players trying out, we will not have a set number of league or travel teams. Teams will be formed based on player try-outs/evaluations.

13  Weekend ½ day tournaments at various club sites from January -April.  Teams come from metro and non-metro areas.  Each team will play 3 matches, sit at least one match, and ref at least one match, 6 matches total.  A full concession stand is available – no outside food/drink allowed.  There are TVs available to watch favorite football teams.  Each team plays one of four shifts, approximately every other weekend— either Saturday morning or afternoon/evening OR Sunday morning or afternoon/evening.  MORNING SHIFT: 8 am—approximately 2 pm  AFTERNOON/EVENING SHIFT: 2:30 pm—approximately 8 pm  We know the weekend each team will play ahead of time, but DO NOT KNOW THE SHIFT (Sat. morning/afternoon or Sun. morning/afternoon) UNTIL APPROXIMATELY THE WEDNESDAY BEFORE THE WEEKEND.  It’s GREAT FUN!

14  Tournament schedule will be finalized when teams have been formed  Past tournaments have included…  January Thaw  NCR Presidents Day Festival  Rochester Cup  Northern Lights Qualifier  NCR Area Championships  Molten Twin Cities Cup  Chicago Asics Championship (Travel)  Orlando AAU National Championship (Travel)  Other 1 Day Tournaments: National Volleyball Center Rochester, Eastridge, M1, Mankato State University, Ralia Sports Center, CCV 12s Premier

15  LEAGUE teams practice 4-6 times per month  TRAVEL & LOCAL teams practice 6-8 times per month  Specialized optional training may be added throughout the season based on the needs of the program (setter’s training)  We have requested practices to be at Chanhassen High School, Pioneer Ridge, & Chaska Middle School West  SAQ-Strength, Agility and Quickness Training will be in addition to practices during the week  Gym time is shared with other sports in the community and has been requested for Monday—Thursday evenings and possible Sunday evenings. Gym time is allocated by District 112 and is scheduled through December at this point.  Come prepared—15 minutes early to set up nets and get ready for practice

16  Included with registration.  Travel Teams: 2 Jersey’s and shorts  League/Local Teams: 1 Jersey and shorts  You also NEED to purchase: socks (most are wearing mid-calf length, but some wear knee- high), white knee pads, shoes (most wear Mizuno Lightning volleyball shoes) and Chanhassen Volleyball practice t-shirts.  Warm-ups will be required for travel teams and optional for league/local teams.  You might WANT: extra blue shorts. You’ll receive ordering information!

17  Coaches are NOT volunteer—they are PAID coaches who know and love volleyball  Minnesota State High School League rules prevent our high school coaches from working with high school players during the off-season— so, high school coaches typically coach younger players  We are actively filling coaching vacancies with excellent coaches…  Check Web Site for current coaching assignments  www.chanhassenathleticassociation.com
