The Diploma programme of the IB is designed for high ability, well organised students expected to gain mostly A or B grades at GCSE, preparing them for university and encouraging them to: ask challenging questions learn how to learn develop a strong sense of identity and culture develop the ability to communicate with and understand people from other countries and cultures

D&T is part of group four experimental sciences. IN THIS SUBJECT, STUDENTS WILL COVER TWO TOPIC AREAS WITHIN DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY: TOPIC 2: Food Science Option THE COURSE AIMS TO DEVELOP UNDERSTANDING OF: the technological world from an International perspective design which contributes to the well being and efficiency of the planet each element of the design cycle in detail designing ecologically sensitive products the positive impact that responsible design has on International communities and the environment.
