Acknowledging a mutual need by listening to each others perspective. Creating dialogue about each of these perspectives. 3. Finding common ground. Resolving differences in a way that is mutually satisfying to both parties. (Win-Win situation)

Practicing Participants will break into triads with one person role playing the caregiver, another the parent and the third will be the observer. Observers role is to take notes and give feedback to both participants. Each person will have an opportunity to play each of the roles. Start with an assigned practice scenario and then participant can come up with their own scenarios.
