OPTIC EDGE

2 OPTIC EDGE OPTIC EDGE The new optic edge was developed to meet all safety requirements, provided by the European Standards currently in force. It allows to realise installations in compliance with: EN 12445 EN 12453 Classified as safety device CLASS 2 in compliance with EN 12978

3 OPTIC EDGE “OPTIC EDGE” is not merely a sensitive device on the movable leaf edge; in fact, it houses an infrared photocell transmitter that, coupled with a receiver on pillar, also acts as an additional protective device on the gate transit area (Device C+D EN 12453) All photocells TX and RX in the edge are powered by AA lithium batteries (minimum operating life: 2 years) without the need of any wiring.

4 OPTIC EDGE OPTIC EDGE TX TX TX RX RX RX Operating principle

5 OPTIC EDGE Central element It groups 2 receivers, an infrared transmitter and the power batteries RX and TX circuit The battery compartment is easy accessible after having removed the cover screws Cover

6 OPTIC EDGE Ending elements The battery-powered transmitting units are located at the ends of the edge To replace the battery, remove the plug, withdraw the TX unit and remove the cover, which is fastened with two screws Cover and closing screws OR sealing gasket Photocell lens

7 OPTIC EDGE Fixed receiver The fixed receiver can be: Wall-mountedWall-mounted Mounted on a Safebeam columnMounted on a Safebeam column Fitted inside an edge counter-stroke rubber profile (with “whiskers”)Fitted inside an edge counter-stroke rubber profile (with “whiskers”) Fitted on a wall-support with adjustable angleFitted on a wall-support with adjustable angle

12 OPTIC EDGE Fixed receiver The fixed receiver is the only element of the OPTIC EDGE system requiring cable-wiring. It is equipped with front LEDs that allow you, without the need to access the control units, to monitor the operating status of the optical units and of the battery charge.

13 OPTIC EDGE Configuration for sale 4 codes will be available, which contain respectively: 1)2.5m rubber profile, 2.5m aluminium profile, side plugs and securing screws. 2)2 side transmitting elements, 1 central TX/RX element, 1 fixed receiver, 6 AA lithium-batteries. 3)2.5m edge counter-stroke profile. 4)1 wall-support with adjustable angle Each code will be sold separately. Codes and prices still to define

14 OPTIC EDGE Availability The product will be available starting from: APRIL 2006 Lists still to define
