3 Introduction Establishments classified according to ISIC Products classified according to HS, BEC, SITC Government activities classified according to COFOG COICOP being implemented in price statistics ISCO-88 used for occupations ICSE-93 for employment status

4 ISIC Central Business Register classified according to ISIC rev. 3 Tax authorities maintain a register of establishments for VAT purposes This uses ISIC rev. 3 at one digit level National accounts and industrial production statistics use ISIC rev. 2 There are 11 major industry groups used No local adaptation is employed

5 ISIC …continued Economic Census conducted in 2007/2008 used to classify establishments according to the draft version of ISIC rev. 4 Activity classification in the Labour Force Survey 2008 is according to ISIC rev. 4

6 Central Product Classification (CPC) HS used in external trade statistics for product classification The lowest computational level for the index of industrial production is at product level However, CPC is not explicitly used for classification
