8 No cheating Zero Tolerance Cheating Policy Cheating in this class is defined as knowingly or unknowingly participating in the submission of unoriginal work for any test. –Answer to roll-call on behalf of another guy is also cheating If I find out that a student has cheated –Assign a fail grade to the student –Dismiss the student for the remainder of the class

9 Term project First, make a team –One or two persons for each team –There may be a mentor Second, find a problem –Should be relevant to topics of this course –Read papers in the literature E.g. IEEE Xplore, ACM DL –Select one or two papers (that will be the reference solution) Third, give a presentation –One related paper for each member

10 Term project Fourth, explore new ideas –1 st project meeting Fifth, evaluate the proposed idea(s) –Compare yours with the reference solution Each member has her own idea –Try to identify both strengths and weaknesses –2 nd project meeting Last, project presentation
