2. Good evening and welcome to 4 th grade. We would like to take this time to welcome you and your child to Wilder Elementary and the 4 th grade team. We’re sure you are as excited as we are about the upcoming year. It’s going to be great, and we’re looking forward to getting to know both you and your child. 3. School begins at 8:00 a.m. each day. Students are tardy at 8:01. Mrs. Hopkins will monitor this daily for issue of inclement weather or congested traffic conditions. We will adjust accordingly. Dress Code: Please reference the AISD dress code for students. Parents will receive phone calls from the front office staff if students are in violation of any part of this code. Parent Conferences are being scheduled by teachers now. If you have specific questions or concerns about your child’s progress, please email them to schedule a conference

4. Rules: Wilder Elementary is participating in a school-wide positive behavior program. Ask your child about our pledge and how they can earn Wild Bucks. We are Independent Learners Dedicated Enthusiastic Respectful

5. Buddy Study (Word Study): Every Friday the Buddy Study packet is due with a parent signature. Book Adventure: A note went home last month with dates and points expected for each month. Your child has an opportunity to take quizzes every week when we visit the computer lab, or they can take quizzes at home. Projects: A project will be assigned once every 9 weeks. This will typically be a reading project. The first project went home last week. My Reading Life will be due on Tuesday, October 15 th.

9. Through out the year we will be reviewing what we learned in word study in previous years and building on that knowledge. This will help in our reading and writing skills.
