3 (f) Adequacy of Resources The Secretary considers the adequacy of resources for the proposed project, including the following factors: 1. Facilities, equipment, supplies, and other resources, from the applicant organization… 2.Costs are reasonable in relation to the objectives, design, and potential significance… 3.Costs are reasonable in relation to the number of persons to be served and to the anticipated results and benefits.

What needs to be done and how long will it take the tribe to make facilities and resources fully accessible for individuals with disabilities?

7 Confidentiality of Project and Consumer Information All personal information about individuals served must be held confidential 34 CFR 369.46 (a) Discuss your plan for keeping personal information confidential Names Addresses Photographs Records of evaluation

8 Protection, Use, and Release of Personal Information [34 CFR 369.46 (b)] The use of information and records concerning individuals must be limited only to purposes directly connected with the project, including project evaluation activities. Information may not be disclosed, directly or indirectly, other than in the administration of the project unless the consent of the agency providing the information AND the individual to whom the information applies, or his or her representative, have been obtained in writing.

9 Protection, Use, and Release of Personal Information [34 CFR 369.46 (b)] (cont’d) The Secretary or other Federal or State officials responsible for enforcing legal requirements have access to this information without written consent being obtained. The final product of the project may not reveal any personal identifying information without written consent of the individual or his or her representative.

12 Required Match Non-federal share (assumed by Tribe) 10% of total cost of the Project To calculate the tribal 10% match, divide the requested Federal funds by 9 for each year. Example: Requested Federal funds total $300,000.00; tribal 10% match is $33,333.33.

16 Proposed Budget Personnel Salary and Fringe Benefits Salary and benefits for counselors are reasonable in terms of the education and skill levels of each counselor and the number of consumers to be served annually by each counselor.
