4 The pictures all begin with the sound:- u Words:- Up, under, umbrella, udder, unhappy, umpire 3

5 Beginning /middle/ end? 4 Drag a circle to show whether g sound is at the beginning, middle or end of the word.

15 Learning Points When to use c,k,ck Until we learn more about vowels:-   Use “c” at the beginning of words when the next sound is “a”,”o”, “u”,or a consonant. cat, cut, cot, crest.   Use “k” at the beginning of words when the next sound is “e” or “i” Ken, kit, kip.   Use ck at the end of words 15
