2 SIPA HISTORY 1980 – SIPA is founded as an engineering company to provide integrated system for flexible automation. 1986 - SIPA makes a strategic move produce PET packaging and acquired the technology license to produce PET bottles based on 1-step process. 1988 – SIPA sells its first PET 1–step machine for 4000b/h for mineral water bottles. 1989 – A new range of small linear blowing machines is designed, the SF line, and added to 1-step range, the ECS. First blowing machine sold for 1400 b/h. 1990 – SIPA sells first PET 1–step machine for 8000 b/h. 1994 – The linear blowing machine increase to 4000 b/h. First machine installed to Coca –Cola. 1995 – PET 1–step machine reaches 12000 b/h. SIPA machine can now produce also aseptic bottles for juices and isotonic. 1996 – SIP receives ISO 9001 certification. PET 1– step machine reaches 18000 b/h. First injection machines to produce PET performs. 1997 - PET 1– step machine reaches 24000 b/h and linear blowers 12000b / h. First 1-step machine sold to produce heat set, pasteurizable bottles and wide mouth jars. 1998 – A new market segment is opened: fresh milk in PET. 1–step system producing up to 5 liter size bottles and high quality containers for house holding thanks to an extremely performing preferential heating. 1999 – High productivity rotary blowing machine. 2000 – New perform injection machine with 48 cavities. 2001 – SIPA range of rotary blowers includes five models from 12000 b/h – 40000 b/ h. 2003 – New perform injection machine with 72 cavities. 2006 – Installation of the first SIPA industrial Coating to enhance PET barrier properties of non–alcoholic beer bottles. SMARTCOAT is an external coating process line with a high productivity capacity. 2007 – New Preform Production Machine for the production of special performs. 2008 – SIPA acquires Berchi Group, a manufacturer of complete bottling and packaging lines. 2009 – SINCRO – TRIBLOC, a revolutionary product was added to SIPA wide range; an innovative system that incorporates the production of labeling and filling / capping of PET containers.
