4 Madeline Hunters Direct Instruction Model aligned with 4-MAT model Dr. Madeline Hunter is most famous for her view on how lessons should be planned and implemented in the classroom. She developed eight elements that a lesson plan should contain in order to enhance student learning. The eight elements are: Anticipatory Set Purpose Input Modeling Guided Practice Check for Understanding Independent Practice Closure According to Dr. Hunter, practice with this lesson format will yield better teaching and therefore, an increase in learning.
