2 Course details Cross-listing of: –MIS-4399: Issues in Information Systems –MIS-5399: Special Issues in Information Systems Main topic –Business process redesign Pre-requisites –For undergraduate students: MIS3310 (may be waived) –No pre-requisites for graduate students –All students must be 18 or older

4 Cultural immersion activities IBMEC students and local managers will participate in at least 1 book chapter-based discussion with TAMIU students - conducted at IBMEC facilities Visit to the Institute for Space Research (INPE) in Sao Jose dos Campos (a city located approximate 1 hour north of Sao Paulo) - will receive a tour of INPE’s satellite-based image processing facilities Visit 2 organizations in Sao Paulo (one manufacturing plant and one financial firm) - will receive a tour of their information technology facilities

5 Estimated cost $2,500 – which includes: –Airfare –Health insurance –Accommodations –Ground transportation –Welcome and farewell dinners –Field trips, including a visit to the Institute for Space Research (INPE)
