Irrigation / Water Supply The Corps’ civil works missions are diverse. Hydropower 25.4 million megawatt hours annually % of hydropower produced by Corps % of all Federal Hydropower. Installed capacity projects. * Navigation: Maintain over 720 miles of Federal Channel. Portland is 2nd largest wheat export port and 3rd largest auto port in USA. Columbia River is 3rd largest grain export center in world. * Flood Damage Reduction: $24 billion damages prevented from $1.2 billion Investment. ($5.3 billion damages prevented in alone.) * Fish and Wildlife: Increased mission emphasis on preserving and restoring the environment. Many ecosystem and habitat restoration projects. * Recreation: 12 million visitors in NWP. 3.5 million to Bonneville Dam alone. 11 Portland District Funding
Two Main Sources of Funding Annual Appropriations from Congress Energy and Water Development Acts Includes Programmatic Funding Pots (aka Workplan Funding) BPA Direct Funding Funding for Operations and Maintenance of our Hydropower facilities Capital funding for replacing and upgrading our Hydropower equipment MCR Jetties - $1M in FY15 PBUD to initiate DDR/P&S for North Jetty Repairs. CRFM total includes FCRPS, Lamprey, and Willamette BiOp programs. The $52M is the revised split between NWP and NWW and is an increase of $3M from the original allocation. Blue River and Hills Creek Tainter Gates – Funding to award initial contracts. Fall Creek Tainter Gates – Funding to complete work on all gates. Cougar and Detroit Tainter Gates – funding only for DDR/P&S. The Dalles Navloc Repair funding is in preparation for the FY17 extended Navloc outage.

Potential Future AE Contracts HDC GDACS Long-term Upgrades IDIQ Hydraulics & Hydrology Laboratory Services IDIQ Current AE%: 22.7% POSSIBLE FUTURE CONTRACTS The District is in the process of evaluating potential future contracts, and the two listed here are being considered. The GDACS IDIQ will be replacing an incumbent contract which is anticipated to expire in Jul of The H&H Laboratory Services IDIQ being considered will be a new contract for laboratory services. AE%: We are currently reporting an A/E percentage of 22.7% for April This means that 22.7% of our E&D program is being performed by the A/E community through these contract vehicles.
