Objects of Kiwanis (Developed and maintained since 1924) 1.To give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than to the material values of life. 2.To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships. 3.To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business and professional standards. 4.To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive and serviceable citizenship. 5.To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service and to build better communities. 6.To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and goodwill.

2. What’s New with Kiwanis?  Kiwanis raised well over $100 million to combat Iodine Deficiency Disorder.  Now we tackle Maternal/Neonatal Tetanus with a campaign to raise $110M by 2015, the 100 th anniversary of Kiwanis, to eliminate this disease.  In 40 30 countries, a child dies a needless death 160 times/day.  $1.80 will save a life.  www.theeliminateproject.org www.theeliminateproject.org X

Why Join Kiwanis?  To be a part of something your child is involved in, which will encourage your child to continue to serve others throughout his/her lifetime.  To meet other like-minded individuals in the community for networking, fellowship, and friendship.  To help to continue to develop Kiwanis’ reach of Service Leadership Programs in the area. AND FINALLY, AND MOST IMPORTANT….  To help those who are less fortunate.
