rural education program of the Ved Vignan Maha Vidya Peeth Trust (VVMVP Trust) gives people an opportunity to sponsor education for rural children and contribute to the Literacy Movement in India.

6 Our Journey so far… Ved Vignan Maha Vidya Peeth - an Educational Charitable Trust Provides quality education free of cost to economically underprivileged rural & tribal children 27 years since the first school started in Bangalore Today 86 schools across India 10000 rural & tribal children covered under this program 95% first generation learners Local State Board syllabi Value–based education is the focus

The first education project by Art of Living Initiated with 30 students in 1981 Today (2009) free education provided to 2000 children Children from 51 villages surrounding Udayapura in Bangalore Rural Karnataka State Board Syllabus Value based holistic education from Nursery to 10th Std Girl : Boy ratio - 50:50 95% First Generation Learners 100% results achieved in 10th board exams 0% Drop outs from school Facilities provided : Free Transport, Uniforms, Books, Mid-day meals

Cash contributions towards sponsoring one child’s education For a year - Rs.10000 For six months – Rs.5000 For a month – Rs.1000 Corporate Partnerships Cash contributions (eg. Employee Giving programs, Corporate Donations) Providing additional infrastructure – Buses, Classrooms etc Upgrading current infrastructure – Library, Computer Labs etc Any other partnerships under Corporate Social Responsibility charter Note: All donations are tax exempt under Sec 80(G) (50% Tax Rebate).
