2. AIM for Seva ENABLING LIFE-READY CHILDHOODS EDUCATION IS ONLY THE BEGINNING Started in 2000 by Swami Dayananda Saraswati 14,000 students educated living in Free Student Homes (FSHs) Non-profit Organization under IRS 501(c)(3)

3. Why focus on FSHs, and not on building schools? Existing schools under - utilized Too far from most villages Does not address complete upbringing of children

Each FSH is a home away from home - Plus Access – Located within 10-15 kms from homes - keeping family connections Personal Supervision – Supervisors know the unique needs of each child and keeps in touch with parents Academic Assistance – books, uniforms, shoes, after- school tutoring, parent/teacher meetings etc Health Care – regular medical and dental care Value Education & Personality development programs Computer literacy Extra-curricular Activities – sports, yoga, gardening, folk arts & music, stage plays
