3. What is a Disability Resource Coordinator (DRC)? The same thing as a Disability Program Navigator (DPN) under the DPN Initiative A Case Manager Local level staff hired to implement the Disability Employment Initiative (DEI) strategic approach

4. A DRC will help ensure that job seekers with disabilities access all of the different programs and services they need. For example: Connecting to WIA case manager and/or WIA training dollars Working with an Independent Living, Vocational Rehabilitation, Mental Health, etc. counselor… Signing up for One-Stop workshops and accessing needed accommodations Facilitating an Integrated Resource Team approach While the DRC will help make connections, the programs will be providing the direct services. 5. Close, but there is more… The Disability Program Navigator position provided the groundwork for the DRC position under the DEI. Many of the concepts, ideas and strategies are the same.
