7 ▪ BORE ▪ BORE — “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed” (1 Pet. 2:24) – Sacrificial—His own body—without which there could be no death (Jn. 10:11) – Effectual—Carried away our sins in His own body on the tree—as an offering for sin – Figurative (Eph. 2:14-16; Col. 2:13, 14) – Conditional (Col. 1:20-23)
