copyright source of light ministries 2011 6  “Thou art worthy, 0 Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for Thou hast created all things. and for Thy pleasure they are and were created.” Revelation 4:11 6

 Authority means the right to rule and the right to be obeyed.  All authority belongs to God because He is the Creator of all things.  “Thou art worthy, 0 Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created.” Revelation 4:11 copyright source of light ministries 2011 7

 Lucifer said in his heart, "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation... I will ascend above the heights of the clouds: I will be like the most High." Isaiah 14:13,14 copyright source of light ministries 2011 8

 Eve was deceived. But Adam was not deceived. He chose to disobey God. Adam followed Satan in his rebellion against God.  By the rebellion of Adam, sin entered the world. Adam passed his rebellious nature on to his children and to the whole world. Thereafter, rebellion became a principle in the heart of man. The Bible says, "We have turned every one to his own way."' This is why the Bible refers to unsaved people as "children of disobedience.“  After the flood, God established laws and ordained human government. He gave men the authority to enforce His laws. God did this for the protection of mankind. People were so sinful and rebellious that, without some form of government, it would not have been possible to control evil.  It was God who instituted capital punishment. He wanted men to see the seriousness of taking another person's life. God told Noah, "Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed...." Genesis 9:6 copyright source of light ministries 2011 9

 All have sinned and come short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 copyright source of light ministries 2011 10

 And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not. Nehemiah 9:17 copyright source of light ministries 2011 11

THE OBEDIENCE OF THE SON "For I came down from heaven, not to do Mine own will, but the will of Him that sent Me." John 6:38  Jesus Christ is God. Before He came into the world, He shared the same glory and authority as the Father. But, when He came into this world, He gave up His place of glory. He humbled Himself to become a man. The Bible says, copyright source of light ministries 2011 12

 "Who, being in the form of God...made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. Philippians 2:6.7 copyright source of light ministries 2011 14

 1. The principle of rebellion, which is the principle of Satan.  2. The principle of obedience, which is the principle of Christ. Every person lives his life by one or the other of these two principles. copyright source of light ministries 2011 15

 1 opposition to one in authority or dominance  2 open, armed, and usually unsuccessful defiance of or resistance to an established government copyright source of light ministries 2011 16

“ I WILL have my own way.”  The basic principle of the world is rebellion. The Bible speaks of "the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience." "The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His anointed." Psalm 2:2 copyright source of light ministries 2011 17

 1 Samuel 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. copyright source of light ministries 2011 18

"Not every one that says unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven: but he that does the will of My Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name have done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity (you that are lawless)." Matthew 7:21-23 copyright source of light ministries 2011 19

“THY WILL be done.” copyright source of light ministries 2011 20

 Jesus Is Lord And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. John 20:28 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Luke 6:46 copyright source of light ministries 2011 21

 The Lord Jesus Christ, the obedient One, now lives in us. “Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you...?” 2 Corinthians 13:5  We must choose to live our life by the principle of obedience. The Bible says, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2:5 copyright source of light ministries 2011 22

 As a child of God, I live my life by the principle of obedience. copyright source of light ministries 2011 23

 Worship the Lord Jesus Christ for all that He is, for His power and authority, for all that He has done for you personally. copyright source of light ministries 2011 24
