6 Essential Skills Required  Willingness to Learn  Commitment to Improving Education for All  Communication Skills  Teamwork  Data Analysis  Literacy, Numeracy & IT Skills

7 What do you do and how often do you do it?  Attend Trainings  Read  Ask Questions & Contribute Ideas  Attend Meetings  Challenge and Support  Link with a Class Teacher  Visit the School

8 Time Commitments  This role requires you to volunteer 10-20 days per academic year.  This includes, but is not limited to: 1 class visit per term 1 Full Governing Body Meeting per term 1 Committee meeting per term

9 Additional Requirements for New Governors  Training In order to best support Raddlebarn, we will ask you to attend a full day Induction offered through Birmingham Local Authority, School and Governor Support.  Meeting with Chair

10 What do I do next?  You will need to submit a 250 word statement outlining why you have the appropriate skills and attributes to be a Parent Governor at Raddlebarn.  Your nomination will then be accepted and your statement will be published for parents to review and vote.  One week after the election, you will be notified as to whether or not you have been elected.
