Ability + Opportunity = Responsibility
My Master has “gone away” and will return and I will give account to Him.
What am I doing to promote the Master’s good with the abilities and opportunities that He has given to me?

get the glory, the Lord or the servant whom He gave?”
1 Cor 3:3-5
If I speak the utterances of God and someone is helped, who should get the glory, me or the Author of the message?
1 Pet 4:11
If I serve others by the strength that God supplies and someone is helped, who should get the glory, me or that One who gave me strength to serve? 1 Pet 4:11

I Am Not Worthy of a Reward for My Work

Servitude illustrates salvation by grace.
If by faith I meet God’s condition of salvation-
becoming and working as a servant of God, I obtain
salvation from sin and the hope of heaven-
not because I deserve it, but by grace
I work as a servant, but God will reward me as a son!
Gal 4:1-3, 4-7

Do I realize that after all my work I am still unworthy?

Many ways to become a slave in the 1st century- among these: 1) birth, 2) sold by parents, 3) kidnapped and sold, 4) punishment for a crime, 5) voluntarily as a solution to debt
Of these, it is easy to see which one makes one a servant of Jesus Christ; voluntary submission as a result of debt-
the debt of sin- Rom 6:16-18
the debt of love- 2 Cor 5:14-15
