Company Summary Our Restaurant J.Ten is located in the Del Mar Highlands Towncenter in California right off the I-5 freeway. Just 5 minutes away from the beach. At J.Ten we serve quality Californian cuisine supporting our local farmers by only using fresh produce delivered to us daily. By supporting our local farmers are surrounding community will support our new Restaurant Our restaurant environment reflects an upscale venue that prides itself on making sure the customer has a pleasant experience while eating our delicious entrees.

Menu Our menu is based off California cuisine. We serve two different types of delicious half pound never frozen burgers. One type of salad but with multiple types of dressings and toppings. Our Chicken noodle soup is made from scratch so you can taste the love that goes into every spoonful J.Ten’s desert changes every so often but our Molten Lava Cake is hard to pass up!

Market Analysis Our age range varies because we serve low cost healthy foods from highschoolers grabbing a quick bite, to baby boomers trying to stay on a healthy diet. Also since we are 5 min away from the beach during summer our range widens due to Tourist. In 2010 the US. Bureau of Labor’s Consumer Expenditure Survey said that the customers who spent the most were between the ages of 35-44 and those are the consumers we target at J.Ten. On the other hand due to our location being so close to Torrey Pines Highschool are chances to profit from younger generation goes up!

Financial Plan J.Ten rent for the small unit in the Del Mar Town Center would cost $2,000 to rent per month. Total assets cost : $138,000 Total Liabilities cost: $101,000 Our Total planned investment is: $40,000 The projected capital would be: $37,000 Projected loss would be around: $3,000 Total funding would be: $141,000 Since our building is already equipped as restaurant we will only need a $100,000 dollar loan by SBA-guaranteed loan. We plan to have two investors, one investing $25,000 and the second $15,000

MIS Solutions The J.Ten restaurant will implement the POS or point of sale system which enables a variety of things like taking orders, inventory control, employee schedules, back office functions, tip tracking We also being utilizing Microsoft Access to better connect with our customers by adding them to a database of names and emails so they can get newsletters and special event discounts. J.Ten plans to use Facebook and Twitter to connect to our local customers on a technology based level to further our relations with our surrounding community. We will also have our own website so the world can have access to our amazing restaurant.

MIS Solutions When starting J.Ten we had to pick the best MIS that fit our needs, that’s when we chose Michael Porter’s five forces model to define organizational strategy. We defined our competitive strategy as focused- differentiation: offering better service and products at the lowest possible prices in our industry segment.

Innovation To get ahead of the industry and streamline we thought about using a the POS systems made for Ipads which allows for much more freedom and not such a commitment to one style of POS systems, the cost of Ipads would go into our start up cost

J.Ten Overall J.Ten is a great concept because it has great location great food great business plan for success but most importantly has support by its local community.
