Student Name Spring 2015 (No page number here) Use p. 28 and 29 in SP Handbook and remember to use visual literacy rules while completing this.

Select one attention getter: Fact Startling image Anecdote [and then explain why you used this attention- getter] Begin slide numbers here with this slide 2

 Main Points of Paper  Product  Product Steps  Who This Helped  Challenges  [Use this text above—no need to add or change anything; at SPN you are going to say something like, “In my presentation I will tell you about the main points in my paper, my product, the steps I took to complete the project, who my project helped, and how this was a challenge for me.”] 3

 Do not type a narrative!  Feel free to use graphics/pictures of product process at any point in the slide show, including the research slides 4

 Result of research  The actual item created 5

 Show video if possible 6

 Within these two or three slides, you need to include the following:  Prior Knowledge  Steps of Process (Pictures of Steps)  Cost  Skills Learned  Challenges—How was this difficult or new? Even though you were successful with your product, it is important to explain how you overcame obstacles. 7

8

 More than three slides is OK 9

 Picture or text of who this will benefit, either directly or indirectly. (Not you) 10

 How does this project relate to my career? and/or  Am I going to continue this career? 11

 How have you grown/what have you learned from completing this project?  Public speaking  Talking to adults  Organizing  Using technology  Meeting deadlines  Following through to the end 12

 What would I do differently if I could go back and do it again?  What were the overall benefits from the project? 13

List the people who have helped you:  Mentor  Interviewee (from the research paper)  People who donated materials, money, etc. 14

 This would be a great place to put a picture of a finished product or a happy person who benefitted from your product.  Questions are not optional—they are required, so you do need this slide to prompt you to ask, “What questions do you have for me?” or respond, “At this time I will take any questions the judges have.” 15
