3 Engineers Without Borders Last years international placements included: India - Environmental reporting, rainwater harvesting and journalism Nepal - Eco-stoves and solar panels Sri Lanka - Alternative energy and plastic recycling Malaysia - Solar energy systems Rwanda - Water collection and distribution Nigeria - Village road construction Brazil - Flow measurement systems Ecuador - Water purification and wood stoves Suriname - Solar power and incinerators Spain - Renewable energy programs

4 What will you get out of being a member of EWB Brighton? Starting an EWB branch is challenging, but it is also one of the most interesting and rewarding things you can do while at university: YYou will learn a great deal about development work. YYou will gain valuable experience of managing a charity. YYou will meet and work with the people who run organisations such as REDR, ITDG and other major NGOs. YYou can gain experience of PR, fundraising, financial management and many other valuable skills. YYou can have a real impact on the lives of people in the developing world. YYou will be involved in forming and expanding an exciting and important new charity. YYou may have the opportunity to travel overseas and take part in development work directly. YYou will meet many like-minded people and have many very enjoyable experiences.
