But it says immigration is too high and promises to reduce net immigration to ‘tens of thousands’ a year, without giving any more details. The Conservative promise an annual limit on immigration, news curbs on unskilled workers, and ‘transitional controls’ on new European Union members. But with other EU nationals guaranteed freedom of entry, a Tory government would have no way of restricting European workers.

7. The Tories are aiming to: Reduce youth unemployment in Britain drastically. Create many more jobs for Britons.

8. The Conservatives plan to: Create a National Security Council. Reforming older institutions such as the UN and making effective use of new ones such as the G20.

9. The Conservatives want to: Starting business-led Local Enterprise Partners. Giving SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) and £2000 bonus for every aprrentice they hire.

10. The Conservatives want to make sure that: Consumers are treated fairly Consumers receive the service they require

11. The Conservatives want to: Transform electricity networks with smart grid and smart meter technology. Expand offshore wind and marine power.

12. The Conservative Party want to ensure: That data is kept secure. That data is not transferred outside the UK without adequate protection.

13. The Conservatives do not want Scottish Independence. They didn’t want Irish Independence.
