2 Labor market’s influence on educational attainment levels By 2020 … 72% of all jobs in Massachusetts are projected to require a post secondary credential. 33% of all jobs will require a bachelors degree 25% of all jobs will require an associates degree or postsecondary credential 14% of all jobs will require a masters degree or higher Carnevale, 2013

3 The need to advance educational attainment 78.7% of Lynn residents 25 and older have graduated from high school, compared with 88.9% statewide. 8% of Lynn residents have an associate degree. 17.2% of residents have earned a bachelor’s degree, compared with 38.7% statewide. 19.2% of Lynn residents are below the poverty level, compared with 10.7% statewide 2011 Census data
