What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”
James 4:16 As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil.
James 4:17 Anyone, then, who knows the good he
ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.

Rom. 12:2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

have done the will of God

Paul was confronted with a practical decision.
