3 Mission Working side by side with our partners in the AOR and exerting all efforts to help the Afghan people, by all means, to live in peace and security.

5 Tasks Distribution of humanitarian aids. Visiting Afghan houses/ talk to the women. inspection tours. Attending meetings & conferences. Help the ISAF to communicate with Afghan females. Operating with the American (IO) team. Attending the sessions of Afghan woman councils.

6 Participating in mounted and dismounted patrols. Participating in search and inspection operations and in establishing special female checkpoints. Participating in the Afghan people occasions, joy and grief. Holding regular meetings with local women and official agencies. Educating the Afghan woman. Tasks

7 Preparing monthly maternal and childhood brochures. Assisting to set up the female military school (MALALI). Mentoring the commandant of female school and the staff. Train the Afghan female instructors. Tasks

11 Justification of participation Justification of participation To highlight the vital role of the Jordanian female soldiers. To help the Afghan women to activate their role in restoring security, stability and development of society. To respond to the international obligations. We are Muslims (Islam is not the religion of terrorism).

12 Justification of participation Justification of participation To confirm the role of Jordan in supporting the international security and stability. To facilitate the task of the friendly forces to achieve security and stability in Afghanistan. To gain experience in a real operational environment.

16 Lessons Learned The Jordanian female soldier has proven that she is well qualified and able to keep up with the female soldiers from other armies The Jordanian experience has shown the capability of the JFET to give hope to the Afghan woman and to educate her about different aspects of life.

17 Proving for the Afghan society how important is the role of female soldier in the country future and its not against religion. The Jordanian experience has enhanced the ability of the Jordanian female soldier to work in a real operational environment. Lessons Learned

18 The Jordanian female soldier has had a great role in bridging the cultural gap between the ISAF and the local communities. The Jordanian experience has positively changed the traditional image of woman and has highlighted the tolerant and moderate perspectives of Islam towards woman and her role in societies and that Islam refuses and denounces the violation of woman’s rights. Lessons Learned

19 The presence of the unarmed, modest Jordanian female soldier whose behavior reflects the bright image of moderate Islam has contributed to the acceptance of her by the Afghan people. The gentle treatment and the humanitarian practices of the Jordanian female soldier towards the Afghan children and women has considerably contributed to the acceptance of the Jordanian female soldier by the local communities.
