4. * Theme Question: How do weather and seasons affect our lives? * We are going to read poems about the moon at different times of the year. * What are the different phases of the moon?

5. * Shadows * Shadows are the dark shapes that objects make when light is behind them. Example: Keila’s shadow was smaller than her mother’s shadow. Ask: If you are walking in the daytime, does your shadow move or stay in the same place? * Hidden * Hidden means “kept out of sight.” Example: She had hidden the gifts from the children.
