3 Draft 8.26.2014 Bloomfield Public Schools Raising the Bar is Taking us Far Why we administer the annual survey 3 The Climate and Satisfaction Survey invites all staff and families, as well as students in grades 5 through 12 to respond to an online questionnaire about their schools: Alignment with District Accountability Plan Priority 3 Understand what members of our school community think about the learning environment at our schools. Initiate data-based conversations among all members of the school community to transform current practices on behalf of our students.

We will be adding paper-based surveys for the 2014-15 administration for families and non-technical staff. Student responses trend lower than families and staff. – Adding school-based discussion groups arranged by school climate specialists to work more directly with student groups August 201413

15 Draft 8.26.2014 Bloomfield Public Schools Raising the Bar is Taking us Far NEXT STEPS 15 1.Principals will share survey results 2.Results will be shared with all members of the school community; 3.Effective participation practices will be replicated; 4.The Climate Sub-committee of the District Data Team will meet to review the data and plan appropriate responses; 5.In alignment with the District Climate Policy, the District Climate Steering Committee will meet to plan positive Climate events for schools and community as directed by the data from this annual survey.
