2.  Twitter is a social networking tool or microblog.  It is composed of short text, pictures, and URLs called Tweets, which can be up to 140 characters.  Registered users can read and post tweets but unregistered users can only read them.  Users access Twitter through the website interface, SMS, or mobile device app. WHAT IS TWITTER?

5.  Tweet - Each of your Twitter posts or updates is known as a tweet.  @ - The @ symbol is a way of referring to another Twitter user. For example, @PSRCtraining means you're either sending a message to the training team or you're talking about them in your message.  Retweet - A retweet - or RT - is when you share the tweet of one user with all of your Twitter followers. If you happen to follow a Twitter news feed and they post a link to a story that you feel should be shared, you can "retweet" it. TWITTER TERMINOLOGY

6.  Reply - Reply is when you respond to a tweet from a particular user in the public feed.  Direct Message – Replies are completely public, but a direct message is a private message that you send through a discussion board. You can only send a direct message to someone that is following your account.  Follower – Unlike Facebook, Twitter allows for one- way relationships. If you find Twitter users who are interesting, you can "follow them" to subscribe to their tweets. TWITTER TERMINOLOGY

7.  Hashtag or # - Hashtags are words or acronyms that begin with the number sign. They are used when many people are tweeting about the same topic or from the same event. TWITTER TERMINOLOGY  Hashtags provide a means of grouping such messages, since one can search for the hashtag and get the set of messages that contain it.

10. CONNECT WITH OTHERS The @connect tab allows you to see only your interactions with others.

11.  Collaborate with others  Post updates from meetings  Share URLs and images  Post questions WHAT SHOULD YOU SAY? Compose your tweet.
