2 What is ecocell? Based on CEL’s vision statement of letting loose a Storm of Hope, pioneering practical discipleship, equipping prophetic witness and empowering agents for change Course comprises a set of tools based around four key words: See Grieve Hope Act

3 What is ecocell? The ecocell programme can be seen as a journey, or pilgrimage, to be travelled by groups of friends, neighbours, or church or faith group members The final destination of this pilgrimage is sustainable living, in our personal lives Through ecocell we hope to fulfil our personal responsibilities to Creator and Creation You don’t have to commit to the whole journey initially, just to ecocell 1, the first stage, and perhaps go on from there

5 ecocell 1 – “First Steps to Low Carbon Living” CEL provides relevant expertise directly or indirectly (eg by references to the best literature) We will also provide prayers, poems, stories and group activities to help us reflect and to inspire us to action We get further on a journey if we make it an exciting and interesting experience This stage can be completed within a few months, but each group sets its own pace
