5.  Define “college-level studying,” and teach students effective study strategies.  Establish “studying” as a campus-wide expectation by all faculty, staff, and students.  Identify incentives that increase classroom performance and encourage studying.  Partner with campus academic support services to promote effective study habits and strategies.  Incorporate “study efforts” with other University retention initiatives. 5
