Countries: FI, EE, ES, DE, AT, EL, IT, RO Municipalities: Chosen by project partners in participating countries Most of them were chosen during the proposal phase (early establishment of committment of the locally involved people) Very different starting situations: Some already have e-vehicles (e.g. Schladming in Austria) Others have never dealt with this issue before (e.g. most Greek municipalities). For some municipalities the project is complementary to other activities, such as SUMP or SEAP development

5 Main objectives Increase in e-mobility in 27 municipalities and in more than 100 businesses across Europe E-mobility action plan for each participating municipality Electricity from renewable energy sources Increased knowledge / awareness regarding e-mobility in municipalities, businesses and among the general public

Development process: Preparation and project alignment: Local action team wants to enforce e-mobility in the municipality Status quo analysis and potential assessment Set-up of time and workplan

Development process: Vision and goals: Develop a common vision Define priorities Develop SMART – goals

Development process: Measures: Develop measures Define responsibilities and ressources Finalize the e-action plan Adoption by city council Official presentation

Aspects to be considered: Local action team: Choose carefully, which stakeholders to integrate (facility managers, tourism, etc.) Development of a clear vision and goals Precise planning of responsibilities to ensure implementation of measures Cooperation with important economic sectors (e.g. tourism, trading, etc.) – integration into local measures Provide arguments for e-mobility beyond finances (image, fore-runner, local air quality, etc.) Never underestimate local politics, e.g. structural reform of municipalities in Austria or local elections in Slovenia  can lead to delay of project activities
