The role of Higher education institutions state law:  universities serve the advancement and development of the sciences and arts, by means of research, teaching, study programmes and continuing education programmes  universities of applied science enable through practise-oriented teaching the self-reliant application of scientific knowledge and methods in professional life; they also carry out applied research and development indirect links to farmers’ education/ training through:  HEI eduction of future teachers, consultants, experts, officials  Special projects and cooperations  training of trainers and research on education, innovation in agriculture
